When my husband and I decided we were ready to adopt, we looked into many different options. We quickly came to trust so many things about Christian Family Services as opposed to bigger adoption agencies, not the least of which were their face-to-face, phone, and email accessibility, their honesty, and their genuine love and care for the birth moms and birth dads who seek their support and counsel. In talking with Susan Timmons, we could sense her passion and commitment to stand up for the security and best interest of each birth parent and baby, and that, more than any other factor, won me over.
Our daughter Maia was born after we’d been home study ready for almost exactly a year. We so clearly saw God’s hand orchestrating every detail of her adoption. Her birth mom found and selected our family through Christian Family Services, and we could not be more grateful for her, or for Maia’s entire birth family. They have truly become extended family to us, traveling to visit us several times each year. We have made amazing memories together and look forward to many more. Our relationships with them are the sweetest gift from God. We are so blessed knowing that Maia will continue to grow up confident in their love for her.
Christian Family Services was with us through every step of our adoption — from before our home study, all the way through our daughter’s finalization day — answering our questions, guiding us through what at first felt like a very daunting process. They are experienced and compassionate, a great ally to birth and adoptive families alike.
